If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

When you use one of our contact forms we ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number and a message. This data is used to be able to contact you to answer questions that you ask of us in the message field.

We use Google Recaptcha on this site. Google’s privacy policy can be found here.

When you submit a film you leave our website and go to FestHome’s website. You will be asked to provide contact details as well as details about the film you are entering. The data you enter in Festhome is subject to their terms and conditions here.

If you choose to subscribe to our enews via MailChimp the contact details you enter are subject to MailChimp’s privacy policy here.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

When you submit a filmthrough FestHome you have left our website and are subject to FestHome’s terms and conditions here.

When you subscribe to our enews you are doing so through MailChimp’s system and are subject to their terms and conditions  here.

How long we retain your data

For users that register through FestHome or through our Mailchimp subscriber service, we store the personal information you provide for theh purposes of administering the festival. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time through FestHome or MailChimp. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left details on our contact forms, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor messages may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your contact information is emailed to us via the website. We retain the information for as long as it takes us to deal with your enquiry. If you become one of our customers, we will retain your details for as long as you remain a customer.
