How To Book

BOOK YOUR PASSES OR TICKETS HERE

A Festival Pass gives you access to all events in Merimbula.

A Saturday or Sunday Pass gives you access to events on those days only.

Individual session tickets are also available.

  • $100 In-Person Festival Pass
    Includes Friday Launch Party, all Saturday and Sunday Film screenings, all Q&As, Afternoon Teas and Awards Ceremony
  • $30 Friday Launch Party Ticket
    Includes 2 free drinks, hot and cold finger food, tea, coffee, sweets, live band The Sugarants and more at Twyford Hall!
  • $55 In-Person Saturday Pass
    Includes 2 x film screening sessions at the Cinema and afternoon tea and Q&A session at Twyford Hall
  • $35 In-Person Sunday Pass
    Includes 1 film screening session, refreshments, Q&A session, Afternoon Tea and Awards Ceremony at Twyford Hall
  • VIP Pass One free In-Person OR Online Festival Pass for sponsors and film submitters will be emailed directly to participants by the festival organisers. Any accompanying persons must purchase their own pass or tickets.
  • Saturday Mystery Dinner is NOT included in Passes – food+drink must be paid for by participants directly to restaurant, but you can still register your seat reservation online. REGISTER HERE

FRIDAY 19 AUGUST

  • 6.30pm – 9.00pm
    Film Festival Launch Party @ The Twyford – Hall
    Film noir theme – dress up if you want!
    $30 includes 2 free drinks, finger food, tea, coffee, sweets and live music by the Sugarants.

Included in the FESTIVAL PASS or buy a FRIDAY LAUNCH PARTY TICKET if you only want to come to this event.


SATURDAY 20 AUGUST

    Film Screening SOUTH EAST SHOWCASE
    @ The Picture Show Man Cinema
    Films from the Southeast NSW region: Home Stretch, Grandmother’s Dreaming, When Dark Times Come, Anactoria: ‘Myth of the Individual’, Snowy Labour
    Unclassified – No age restriction. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander viewers are warned that Grandmother’s Dreaming shows images of people who have died.

  • Sat 2pm – 3.15pm
    Film Screening LOVE, FIRE, WATER
    @ The Picture Show Man Cinema
    Films from the rest of Australia: Inferno, Dating Violet, Some Are Clingers, Bella, The Rise, the Dos and Don’ts of Getting Married
    This session includes three Unclassified 15+ films. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult
    Warning: Inferno includes actual bushfire footage that may be distressing to some viewers. There will be a short break between Inferno and other films to allow audience members to enter 15 minutes after the session start time.

  • Sat 3.15pm – 3:45pm
    Afternoon Tea
    @ The Twyford – Hall
    Take a 5 minute stroll downtown and enjoy a country style afternoon tea with scones, cream and jam and other goodies in our heritage-listed Hall and network with other festival goers. Festival T shirts on sale.

Included in the FESTIVAL PASS or SATURDAY PASS. Otherwise pay $5 on the day – EFTPOS or cash accepted.

    Q&A Panel
    @ The Twyford – Hall
    Q&A with guest film makers including Writer/Director/Producer Rosie Lourde

Included in the FESTIVAL PASS or SATURDAY PASS. Or purchase an Individual Session Ticket.  Any remaining tickets for this session cost $10 at the door (EFTPOS/Cash).


  • Sat 7.00pm – late
    Saturday Mystery Dinner
    @ Various restaurants in Merimbula
    Sign up to be allocated a seat on one of our festival dining tables for 6-8 people at one of the many local restaurants in Merimbula. You can choose which restaurant you’d like to go to, but your fellow dining guests will be a surprise! Participants pay for their own food and drinks directly to the restaurant.

SUNDAY 21 AUGUST

Enjoy a sleep-in, swim, brunch or coffee from one of our many local cafes, visit the Seaside Markets at Ford Oval near Main Beach, take a scenic flight over our spectacular coastline, or a whale watching cruise on your free Sunday morning – it’s up to you! More ideas from Merimbula Tourism. Then join us in the afternoon for more film festival fun!

    Film Screening EMERGING FILMMAKERS
    @ The Twyford – Hall
    Youth Category Films by filmmakers from around Australia under 25 years:
    Inferno, Breakdown, Mortis Lux, The Gujjar
    Unclassified: All Ages
    Warning: Inferno includes actual bushfire footage that may be distressing to some viewers. There will be a short break between Inferno and other films to allow some audience members to enter 15 minutes after the session start time if they wish.
    Note: Inferno was entered into both the Open and Youth categories and is screening twice at the Festival

    Awards Ceremony
    @ The Twyford – Hall
    Festival Awards Ceremony – join the excitement of finding out the winners in each category for this year’s festival!
    Winners will be announced on our website and social media as soon as the live ceremony is over. A recording of the event will be available on our Online Festival.

People’s Choice Award

Ticket buyers will be invited to vote for The People’s Choice Award via an emailed link. Voting closes at midnight AEST on 31 August and the winner will be announced on 1 September via our website and Social Media.

Measurements below are HALF CHEST SIZE in centimetres – measure a similar garment that fits well from seam to seam across the chest under the arms to find the right size.
